Storm Hold: Religions

One of the main sections of the Inner City of Storm Hold is the
temple district. Here one finds several dozen buildings devoted to the
myriad gods of the Human Empire to the north. A small sample of the
temples is describes below.

The Temple of Vol, god of wind: The temple is a maze of columns supporting
a roof carved in swirls and clouds. The wind whistles as it moves through
the columns.

The Temple of Parlok, god of harvest: This is a wooden building, done with
a variety of lacquers to make it multicolored. Every day, the preists here
burn a bushel of hay or apples or some other food item depending on the
season. At harvest time, the temple is in a continuous state of celebration
with food being handed out freely to all who come and make a small donation.

The Temple of Urder, god of intellect: This building is a true architectural
marvel, a dodecahedral structure made of twelve different substances. Human
philosophers have for some reason come to the conclusion that the dodeca-
hedron is the "perfect form". They have constructed their temple to reflect
this and their system of twelve "definitive substances": Earth, Stone, Iron
(the solid facets), Wood, Bone, Flesh (the living facets), Quartz, Glass,
Water (the viewing facets), Fire, Air, and Thought (the active facets).
Obviously, this is a magically imbued structure!
