Notes:

The map is essentially a flat plan composed of a potentally large
number of pages. Each page consists of 1600 hexs, each 40 columns by
40 rows. You can color each hex with one of sixteen colors, using
each color to represent a different type of terrain. What terrain
types these colors respresent is up to you (use Ctrl-K to redefine
your color key). To quickly fill the map page with a single color,
use Ctrl-F. If you want to fill a vertical column or a horizonal row,
use Ctrl-V or Ctrl-H (the program will look at the color of the hex
you are currently on and make all the other hexs in the row or column
the same color). Use spam mode (F2) to tell the program to make the
"cursor" a brush, coloring all the hexs you move to with the current
color. You can use F3 to draw roads and rivers or even political
borders (you'll have to hit F3, then move to another hex, hit F3
again, and the choose a color for the line you are drawing).

You can place up to forty "locations" on any particular 40*40 portion
of your world and attach text or menu files as you deem appropriate.
You can use the small or large font for these locations. Small-font
locations w/o attachments are colored blue on the inside, but those
w/ attachments are colored red on the inside. "Wormhole" locations are
colored black on the inside (these must be created manually). Large-
font locations are underlines when an attachment is present. You can
also place up to a hundred objects on your world. These are mobile (F5)
and are best used to represent important NPCs, armies, fleets, and the
like. As with locations, a small or large font may be used. Small-font
objects have solid white markers if no attachment is present, but there
is a small red dot in the marker if there is an attachment. Large-font
objects are underlined if an attachment is present.

Keep in mind that if you want the large-scale view of your world, you
can use F6 or F7. F10 (saving to bitmap format) can be used from both
the big maps as well as from the normal map, and you can use the arrow
keys to move around on any of these maps. Use the "?" from any map to
get a list of the available commands.

It pays to learn how to create menus. Read about this in the help files
off the main menu. If you have any question or find any bugs, please
